Fiona graduated from Birmingham University in 2003 and practised within the NHS before moving to a Private Physiotherapy Clinic in Queensland, Australia for 7 years. Apart from a busy schedule with musculoskeletal clients she also introduced Aquatic Physiotherapy to the practice and was the lead therapist for both Equipment and Mat Work Clinical Pilates.
In 2012 Fiona returned to the UK and she now works at The Howard Clinic in Sindlesham, Berkshire.
Fiona is renowned for her caring and personalised approach to Physiotherapy.
Fiona is a specialist in Aquatic Physiotherapy. She has studied advanced hydrotherapy techniques in Birmingham, Switzerland and Melbourne. While living in Australia she developed an Aquatic Therapy programme for children with Cerebral Palsy.
Fiona is a qualified Pilates Instructor. She studied Pilates to the highest level with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute (APPI) and the Queensland Institute of Pilates. She teaches both Mat Work and Equipment Pilates Classes. And has designed specific classes for a range of patients – including chronic low back pain, posture improvement, dancers, ante and post-natal and injury rehabilitation.
Fiona works with women suffering from a range of health problems including SPD during pregnancy, post natal recovery, rectus diastasis separation and incontinence.
Fiona’s philosophy is to inspire her patients to be in control of their bodies and overcome injuries enabling them to live their best life.
Fiona is dedicated to health, active living and sport. She practises what she preaches! She is a keen athlete and enjoys leading an active, healthy life.
